Moose Tips

Ingredients:
- 1 lb. of small chunked Moose meat
- 2 Medium size thinly sliced or small chunked Onions
- 2 Thinly sliced or small chunked Bell Peppers
- 10 Sliced or small chunked Fresh Mushrooms
- 1 diced fresh tomato
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp Sage powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 Tbs. butter or margarine
- 4 Cups cooked wild or white rice
- Salt to taste
Directions:
- 1. In large frying pan over medium
heat, melt butter or margarine, add moose meat and stir until browned throughly, as the
meat is browning add onion, garlic, sage, black pepper and salt.
- 2. After meat is browned turn heat to low, add
onions, bell peppers, and tomatoes.
- 3. Let simmer for approx 20 minutes, stirring occasionally
- 4. Cook rice while meat is simmering
- 5. Serve Moose tips over rice
- 6. Serves 2

Tips:
Moose
tips can be eaten all by itself or also can be added to noodles or as
a potato topping.
One really good tip that I have learned is that tomatoes are a really
good tenderizer of moose meat.
Also: If moose meat smells and tastes gamey tomatoes will remove that
when cooked with the meat.
