Arcticulates
Blogs can take us many places. They can
take us inside
our heads and our hearts or they can take us on adventures in places
we’ve never been, but perhaps dream of being. That is what
this blog does. Arcticulates, the personal blogspace of K. Fields, is a
first-hand look at life and nature in Alaska, and all the wonder the
state provides.
Arcticulates - Why You Should Go
Alaska is quite probably one of the few
remaining places
on earth that could arguably be considered an unconquered frontier.
It’s a place that still holds much of nature and its wonder
firmly in hand, and a place that tugs at the hearts of outdoor
enthusiasts and explorers-at-heart. And although it has a natural draw,
it’s a place that few of us will probably ever get to. But
even the lucky few who do could only hope to capture a taste of what it
is to really live and breathe day in and day out in a place like Alaska.
K. Fields’ blog is a resource
that brings us
that much closer to this place. She talks about life in general and
takes us on virtual tours of the countryside, complete with bear sightings.
She serves as a link to explore more of Alaska, a virtual tour guide to
both the wilds and the more civilized side of a place apart.
Summing Up Arcticulates
Whether you are planning a trip or just
have an endless
fascination with Alaska, K. Fields’ is a blog
you’ll want to frequent. Few other sites will provide you
with the kind of first-hand look at this beautiful place. To close,
I’ll leave you with a few words from our author:
“I love Alaska! It can be a
challenging place
to live, but, the beauty that surrounds me makes it all worth
while.”

Blogger Profile:
I love to write, and I love where I live, so I write about where I
live, using interesting news items, beautiful photos, mixed with my
opinions and views, and sometimes genuine facts.
ARCTICULATES:
Isn’t that a great blog title for someone who lives in Alaska?K.Fields
came up with that creative name. I love this site because I once lived
in Alaska for a short
time and never forgot it. Arcticulates’ posts are not only very
informative but she gives us great photos as well. You will feel a bit
like you have been to Alaska. If you have
ever wanted to go then I’d start reading this site because it
will give you insight into this untamed state. A beautiful taste of the
wild. Thanks K.
I love to write, so I decided to write
what I know
best, and that’s living in the beautiful, yet challenging
place called Alaska. I use images and I write about news items and
interesting things about where I live, using facts, and with my views
interjected sometimes.

Most Interesting Topic:
It
indeed is Snow! Snow! Snow! LOL. In Denver,
there’s also snow, snow, snow everywhere, but that starts
from Nov.
Suggestions:
I’m
sorry to tell you Ma’m, but your blog design is really very
very poor, especially considering that you’re hosting in your
own domain. You can use any of the wordpress themes and host in your
own domain. Eg. (http://www.enfotainer.com)
in which I installed wordpress, and it was all great! In fact, it is
very easy to set up wordpress in your blog. Also, if you do not intend
to use wordpress installation in your blog, your blog is too wide, so
try to minimize it to 800 x 600 or at least 1024 x 768.
Thanks for letting me review your site!

BLOG REVIEW DAILY
Love
'em or hate 'em. There's no holding back here
by J.L. Hill
K. Fields lives in Northern Alaska. She
can see Russia from her house. No, wait. That's Sara Palin. The
photographs K. posts are breathtaking. I have always wanted to visit
Alaska. Now I want to go even more. My favorite photograph on this site
is entitled "Rainbow Mountain Cloud Covering". I live in Eastern PA and
we have some pretty impressive fall colors here, but they cannot hold a
candle to the images one sees while driving to Eagle River, Alaska.
Simply gorgeous. Right. Now on to the hard part. Although the blog's
core contents are great, the layout of the blog could use some help. It
looks like a widget monster puked all over it. I know it is important
to get the word out on blogs and have readers "digg" it, but I prefer
it when blogs go easy on all the social bookmark icons and unecessary
widgets. It tends to take away something from the blog, making it look
a bit unprofessional. In my opinion, Arcticulates is a blog to check
out for the photographs. Just don't scroll to the bottom where the the
widget monster puked.
MY RATING:

Note from K.
Fields: I finally got the widgets and stuff under
semi-control on another page called links/blogroll. Yippee!
Eye catchers:
The recipes and the photos of the moose!
Review:
I actually came to know a lot of things from your blog! I never knew
what a moose was! and the recipes actually sounded delicious! I've seen
you somewhere already on my blog(your photo!). The blog is pretty, and
yea, it can be made a lil girly! The titles of your posts are really
apt and the content is short and sweet! Your placement of ads were
pretty good as well! (One question: Can we use ads in .org sites?)
Overall a really nice site with nice content and a good theme!
Minor defects:
The ads might be giving a source of income but I'm not much in favour
of it! The site speed was slow when I opened it for the first time! Do
work on that!
P.S:
1)If you would like to thank me, pls do so by visiting my site
and commenting there or stumbling it..
2)Pls do comment on the reviews cos that's what would make other people
leave comments on your review, giving you more publicity!!
P.S.S: And if you want yourself to be reviewed, just leave a comment
with your website and name!!
